چکیده

We present experimental results of imaging and digital super-resolution in a multiaperture miniature folded imaging architecture called PANOPTES. We prove the feasibility of integrating folded imagers within a steerable multi-aperture framework while maintaining thin profiles. ©2009 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (110.0110) Imaging systems; (100.6640) Superresolution

Electro-Optical Design of Imaging Payload for a Remote Sensing Satellite

Remote sensing using small spacecraft arising from multi-objective economic activity problems is getting more and more developed. These satellites require very accurate pointing to specific locations of interest, with high reliability and small latency. The space borne imaging systems always attempted to achieve the highest ground resolution possible with the available technology at the given t...

Three-Dimensional Terahertz Coded-Aperture Imaging Based on Single Input Multiple Output Technology

As a promising radar imaging technique, terahertz coded-aperture imaging (TCAI) can achieve high-resolution, forward-looking, and staring imaging by producing spatiotemporal independent signals with coded apertures. In this paper, we propose a three-dimensional (3D) TCAI architecture based on single input multiple output (SIMO) technology, which can reduce the coding and sampling times sharply....

Ultrathin cameras using annular folded optics.

We present a reflective multiple-fold approach to visible imaging for high-resolution, large aperture cameras of significantly reduced thickness. This approach allows for reduced bulk and weight compared with large high-quality camera systems and improved resolution and light collection compared with miniature conventional cameras. An analysis of the properties of multiple-fold imagers is prese...

SAVI: Synthetic apertures for long-range, subdiffraction-limited visible imaging using Fourier ptychography

Synthetic aperture radar is a well-known technique for improving resolution in radio imaging. Extending these synthetic aperture techniques to the visible light domain is not straightforward because optical receivers cannot measure phase information. We propose to use macroscopic Fourier ptychography (FP) as a practical means of creating a synthetic aperture for visible imaging to achieve subdi...

Adaptive Digital Beam-Forming Algorithm for High-Resolution, Wide-Swath Synthetic Aperture Radar

Intensive research is currently ongoing in the field of Smart Multi-Aperture Radar Techniques (SMART) for high-resolution wide-swath Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging. This work investigates the possibility of applying direction of arrival estimation methods to spaceborne SMART SAR systems, that employ receive beam steering. A novel algorithm based on the actual spatial distribution of the...
